Abstract:
Since 2004 about 50 study programmes offered bij Avans University of Applied Sciences have been accredited in the Netherlands. Because of the workload involved, Avans University has focused its efforts on meeting external threshold-level quality standards.
The succesful accreditations have given Avans University the confidence tot aim for more than just threshold-level quality. This paper presents the approach adopted and the results achieved so far. The projects are based on the assumption that quality work is especially about people, rather than just systems and methods, and involves evidence-based quality management and e.q. appreciative inquiry.
