The virtual learning environment in 2014
Updated on 06 May 2011 By Eky Fioole
In fall 2009, the LIC successfully completed a vision action plan for the virtual learning environment, portal and mobility in 2014 together with the Unit Facility Management & IT.
More than 300 students and staff members actively took part in creating this vision by means of an interactive process and recorded in a multimedia presentation (press F11 for the full screen view). The first steps have now been taken towards achieving the 2014 Virtual Learning Environment vision.
2014 Virtual Learning Environment vision
The 2014 Virtual Learning Environment vision focuses on supporting, stimulating and encouraging student and lecturer learning and learning processes through the use of IT. The 2014 learning environment is a hybrid, and consists on the one hand of a combination of facilities provided by Avans University of Applied Sciences and, on the other hand, public facilities.
An administrative decision was made in 2010 about the virtual learning environment that Avans University of Applied Sciences will offer. The first step towards the implementation of the 2014 Virtual Learning Environment vision is the implementation of Blackboard 9.1 and the further professional development of the virtual learning environment users.
