Learning and educational vision
In late 2006/early 2007, the Avans University of Applied Sciences learning and educational vision was developed as part of a process towards which students, lecturers, school boards and educationalists from the Learning and Innovation Center all contributed.
The vision has been set out in a document for the information of all parties involved (PDF version). The vision has also been captured in the form of the short film below.

Summary
In this field of work, staff and professionals are not the only ones who work with knowledge. The students do too. Together they form a dynamic network within study programs and schools in keeping with the nature and purpose of their task. The networks are constantly changing shape, like the lines drawn between stars that continuously create new constellations. Avans University of Applied Sciences shapes its curricula, teaching and assessments in a way that guarantees a varied and fertile learning environment: a source of inspiration in which new links can be discovered.
According to its mission statement, Avans University of Applied Sciences’ task is to produce top-class professionals and establish partnerships in knowledge development. The university’s educational vision corresponds to its mission. The key players in producing top-class professionals are: the students, the staff and the professionals in the field of work. Avans University of Applied Sciences works with these players to create a dynamic learning environment. The various talents and perspectives of all those involved are combined to boost individual knowledge development, collective knowledge development and knowledge development within the university’s partners.
