The Learning and Innovation Center (LIC) monitors the results of educational research. This is an essential part of our role in advising the Executive Board, schools and lecturers. Based on this knowledge, the LIC adviser can take on the role of expert in educational issues that are important to Avans University of Applied Sciences.
Evidence-based practice
Educational innovation at Avans University of Applied Sciences is characterized by the application of evidence-based practice. This means that innovation is based on interventions that demonstrably have improved education in the past.
The LIC supports:

innovations by schools and the Executive Board

the compilation of results from educational research
-
the shaping and implementation of innovations

the recording of results for the creation of evidence-based practice
The LIC is also responsible for conducting a number of general surveys, such as:

the annual National Student Survey
-
the employee satisfaction review
-
the HBO-monitor
